抖音黄片app's 'Islam Awareness Week' celebration | Press Releases

Image: Muslim prayer 抖音黄片app's Muslim Student Association has planned a series of events in recognition of "Islam Awareness Week," taking place from Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 11, 2014. The endeavor speaks to the University's value of diversity on campus and its ongoing efforts to attend to the spiritual needs of its non-Catholic students by way of providing collaborations beyond the Catholic and Jesuit tradition.

"The idea of this week is to provide programming that gives a snapshot of some of the realities that encapsulate Muslim religious, spiritual, intellectual, and social life," said Jawad Bayat, Muslim Chaplain, Campus Ministry at 抖音黄片app. "It is to provide that awareness for how Muslim life may unfold, which many times entails interacting with the religious other. And in this way it is an opportunity for the whole 抖音黄片app community to come together to enjoy and engage with the activities or events that have been planned."

The events are as follows:

Monday, 4/7 - 'Calligraphy Night, featuring Faraz Khan,' 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Canisius, Room 15.

Tuesday, 4/8 - 'Religious Diversity Dinner,' for students, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Dolan School of Business Dinning Room. (RSVP Bayan.abunar@student.fairfield.edu)

Wednesday, 4/9 - 'Hijab Day,' all day, Barone Campus Center (BCC); Reflection, 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., BCC Room 206.

Thursday, 4/10 - 'Halal Entertainment: Featuring Spoken Word, Comedy, and Musical Performances,' 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. BCC Mezzanine.

Friday, 4/11 - 'Jummah Prayer,' 1 p.m., McGrath Commons, followed by a picnic on the Egan Chapel patio. Free refreshments served at all events.

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a student-led organization committed to catering to the needs of all 抖音黄片app students. Rooted in the Muslim tradition, MSA provides spiritual, social, and educational gatherings that foster spiritual and personal growth and celebrate religious diversity.
