¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp offers courses, camps and conferences for all ages all summer
Summer is anything but quiet at ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp, where students of all ages converge on campus for part-time, for-credit courses, athletic, theatre, science and computer camps, writing workshops and more.
Registration is going on now for undergraduate
, which are offered during the day and evening, weekends, online and in one-week intensive formats this summer beginning in May through August. Visiting college students, area residents and high school students are welcome to enroll in courses in a wide variety of subject areas.
Applications for many graduate programs are still being accepted for the summer semester and courses offered in the Graduate School of Education and Allied Professions can be taken on a non-matriculated basis as well. In addition, students can register for personal and professional enrichment courses or enroll in a certificate program, such as interior design, or consider options to audit a course.
High school students have a number of opportunities to learn at Fairfield during the summer. Some of the options are:

- A two-week residential program for motivated students seeking a college academic and enrichment program running July 6-19.

- A free camp for 10th- and 11th-grade girls from Bridgeport high schools who are interested in science. This two-week overnight camp is limited to 30 selected students.

- Students received intensive individual instruction throughout a week of learning about technique, screenwriting, camera operation, lighting and more, culminating in the production and screening of their own short digital films.
Younger students also have many options, including:

- This renowned young people's program offers six, weeklong sessions and five productions from which to choose for interested students in grades 1 through 12.

- Budding athletes can sharpen their skills in baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, softball and swimming.

- Founded in 1977, this camp for students ages 7 to 18 offers both residential and day programs at beginner and advanced levels. In addition, a weekly morning-only program is available for seven and eight year olds.
Adults who know learning doesn't end with commencement can take part in a number of activities on campus and at other locations:

- This weeklong June program offers full days of lectures in three topics. This summer's offerings are "The Life and Work of Mozart," "U.S. and Global Economics" and "Britain and Its Empire Since 1700."

- This four-year certificate program is for adults who sense a call to serve as spiritual directors or who wish to discern that call. It is held in August at the St. Francis Springs Prayer Center in Stoneville, N.C.

- Inspire the writer within at this weeklong conference led by the award-winning faculty of Fairfield's MFA in Creative Writing Program on scenic and inspirational Enders Island, off Mystic, Conn.
