The Charles F. Dolan School of Business at ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp will present a live satellite transmission of the 11th Annual Worldwide Luminary Series, featuring former Chairman and CEO of General Electric Jack Welch, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Hewlett Packard Chairman and CEO Carly Fiorina, bestselling business author Dr. Stephen Covey, bestselling author of "The Tipping Point" and "Blink" Malcolm Gladwell, and world renowned leadership expert Marcus Buckingham.
"Leading to Greatness: Building True Success Wherever You Live and Work," will be shown on Wednesday, November 2, from 10:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport. ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp is one of more than 60 universities to air the program, which will be broadcast live from Washington, D.C.
The daylong telecast, which will air in 30 countries and in more than 90 locations throughout the United States, is designed to teach the strategies behind success, ideas and innovations that are on the frontline of leadership. Teaching how to cultivate leadership success for any organization, the program aims toward a wide audience, including those managing a team, leading an organization, or just starting a career.
The conference pledges to teach a variety of strategies, including how to build powerful teams, lead with the end in mind, achieve strategies to enable employees to think differently and work smarter, evaluate your business results and your means to obtain them, develop a passion for your work, anticipate future strategies, and identify new frameworks for solving challenges and realizing your potential.

Jack Welch
, former chairman and CEO of General Electric and co-author of #1 New York Times Bestsellers "Jack: Straight from the Gut" and "Winning." Welch graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. He went on to earn his M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois in the field of chemical engineering. He joined General Electric in 1960 and from 1981-2001 the company was able to expand prolifically under his management.

Rudy Giuliani
, former mayor of New York City. Giuliani, a graduate of Manhattan College and New York University Law School, was elected mayor in 1993 and managed to reduce crime 57 percent, murder 65 percent, and had New York recognized by the FBI as the safest large city in America. Following his strong leadership in the wake of the terrorist attacks of September 11, Giuliani was named "Person of the Year" by Time Magazine in 2001.

Sir Richard Branson
, founder of The Virgin Group. Branson founded Virgin Records in 1970 and the company has since expanded to become one of the top six record companies in the world, as well as branching into 200 companies in 30 countries, including Virgin Atlantic Airways, now Britain's second largest long-haul international airline. Branson was educated at Stowe School and knighted for "services to entrepreneurship" in 1999.

Carly Fiorina
, former president, chairman and CEO of Hewlitt-Packard from 1999 to 2005. Before joining the HP Company, Fiorini worked for AT&T and Lucent Technologies for 20 years, holding several leadership positions. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University in medieval history and philosophy, an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland, and an M.S. from MIT. She was appointed by the White House to the U.S. Space Commission in 2004.

Stephen R. Covey

Malcolm Gladwell
, author of the #1 New York Times Bestsellers "The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Difference" and "Blink, the Power of Thinking Without Thinking." Gladwell received a degree in history from the University of Toronto. He has been a staff writer with The New Yorker since 1996 and was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in 2005.
