Kevin is one of our Fairfield students who returned early from the Study Abroad program in Italy due to the coronavirus outbreak. He wanted to pay tribute to healthcare workers who are sacrificing so much to help those in need.

I am so thankful and grateful for what these healthcare workers are doing for my community and the nation.

My sister is a nurse in Stamford who is on the frontlines testing patients for COVID-19 every day. She herself contracted the virus and has since recovered. There are so many others across the nation who have family members working in healthcare, and I wanted to somehow thank all of these brave people who are working tirelessly to help communities. We have a rock in Burlington, CT that the town uses to paint special messages, so I organized a group to create a message of gratitude, inspiration, and hope. I am so thankful and grateful for what these healthcare workers are doing for my community and the nation. It means so much that we have selfless people like them.
