This weekend at the ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Downtown Bookstore will be filled with free holiday events, including events with Kitty Zeldis and Matt Tavares, crafts, and visits from Mrs. Claus, Big Green Crayon, Lucas the Stag, and many more.
The ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Bookstore downtown continues its Winter Wonderland Weekend full of holiday festivities on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11. In addition to complimentary gift wrapping during the weekend, all events, crafting, giveaways, and author meet and greets are free to the public.
Events on Saturday, Dec. 10:
- 12 p.m.: Meet and Greet with writer Kitty Zeldis, author of The Dressmaker of Prospect Heights.
- 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Visit and reading from Mrs. Claus herself, and an appearance from the Green Crayon Mascot with a reading of the holiday favorite Green Is For Christmas.
- 2 p.m.: Photo opportunity with Lucas the Stag in his best Santa suit.
- 3 p.m.: Local a cappella group Vocal Rewind will perform their Holiday Concert, while Garelick & Herbs gourmet marketplace will be offering festive cookie-decorating classes.
Events on Sunday, Dec. 11:
- 12 – 4 p.m.: Balloon giveaways from our famous balloon artist, and meet and greet with author Matt Tavares, along with a reading of his book Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever.
