Maddie Mills was named All-Atlantic Second Team

All three also earned conference Player of the Year laurels.

A trio of Stags who recently completed their fall seasons have been recognized with all-region accolades. All three student-athletes add regional honors to a host of 2022 laurels, including their respective conference Player of the Year awards.

Maddie Mills, a graduate student from Fairfield Women’s Soccer, was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Second Team. Also an All-MAAC First Team midfielder and the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, Mills helped lead the Stags to a share of the MAAC Regular Season Championship for the first time in a decade, finishing with a 14-4 overall record and a 9-1 conference tally.

Graduate student Nora Amme earned All-Mideast Region Second Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Amme was the NEC Player of the Year and an All-NEC First Team selection in her first season as a Stag. She led ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp in goals (7), assists (10) and total points (24) while helping to guide Fairfield to an 11-9 record and a trip to the NEC Championship Game.

Most recently, KJ Johnson ’23 became the first player in Fairfield Volleyball and MAAC Volleyball to earn AVCA All-Region laurels in back-to-back seasons. Johnson picked up an All-East Coast Region nod to add to her second consecutive MAAC Player of the Year and All-MAAC First Team distinction after leading Fairfield to its fourth straight MAAC Regular Season Championship. In the fall of 2021, Johnson was named the first AVCA All-American in program history.
