In a session titled "De-Stress With Art," participants will be guided through stress-relieving activities. All levels of artistic skills are welcome to take part on Tuesday, May 3 at 5 p.m. Simply find a comfortable place and join in on the virtual fun!

Next week, the ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Art Museum (FUAM) will offer a led by Museum Educator Kate Wellen.

Wellen, a Fairfield local, is FUAM’s museum educator. She holds an MA in arts education and runs the K-12 field trip programs (virtual and in-person).

Folks who have participated in the FUAM’s virtual Family Day events may recognize her and her young family from their YouTube instructional videos. Wellen also designs FUAM’s annual “Color Our Collections” coloring book, and has held a couple of other virtual art workshops that were popular with students and the public.

During the workshop on May 3, Wellen will be guiding participants through some stress-reducing doodling exercises, which will ultimately shift into designing a personalized coloring sheet. The virtual workshop, which will be streamed at thequicklive.com, is open to all as part of FUAM’s free public programming, and is the final art event of the spring 2022 semester.

For Fairfield students, there are two locations on campus that will be streaming the workshop and providing free art supplies and snacks: Room 114 in the DiMenna-Nyselius Library, and the Langguth classroom. The FUAM is pleased to be partnering both with the library and the Residential College Program on this event.
