This will be an opportunity for us as a ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp community to invoke God’s help in the work of healing and strengthening our nation.
Dear ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Community:
On Wednesday, we watched in horror as our Capitol was assaulted by an armed mob. We know that at least five people lost their lives and that several officers were wounded in the line of duty as they protected members of Congress and, ultimately, our form of government. We mourn the loss of life, and condemn this attack on our democratic form of government in the strongest possible terms. We also pray that once again peace, founded in justice and the rule of law, may prevail in our country. We ask God to summon “the better angels of our nature” as we seek to come together as a nation.
Today, Friday, January 8, at 4 p.m. we will hold a community prayer vigil for our country. This will be an opportunity for us as a ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp community to invoke God’s help in the work of healing and strengthening our nation.
