Graduate students now have the flexibility to design their own MBA and take part in Dolan's new leadership training program.

The Fairfield Dolan MBA curriculum has recently been transformed to "meet students where they are." Now offering a high degree of customization, students can elect a hybrid format of study and select courses that best suit their interests and needs. There are also fewer required courses, and a new option to pursue more than one concentration. These new features give Dolan MBA students tremendous flexibility to design their own plans of study.

“The change from an on-campus format to a hybrid modality, prior to the pandemic, has really enhanced the appeal of our MBA program,” said Program Director Mousumi Bose Godbole, PhD. “We are very excited about the highly customizable MBA curriculum.”

While the Dolan School’s MBA program has an excellent reputation, “we are always looking for new ways to make it unique in this competitive environment,” said Leanne De Los Santos, assistant dean of graduate programs at the Dolan School. “To that end, we’re partnering with BetterManager, a leadership development platform, so that leadership will be a signature element in our students’ MBA experience.”

BetterManager is a leadership training program conducted fully online that uses a one-to-one coaching approach to help students and managers of all levels develop their leadership skills.

Students accepted to the leadership program will first take a DISC assessment test to determine their managerial styles and how they work in a group setting. Then, each student and his or her coach will establish goals such as learning to handle conflict, working as a valued member of a team, making difficult decisions, or developing a personal brand.
