November is a time for giving thanks, and the ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Downtown Bookstore is giving patrons an array of programming to be grateful for this month.
Interior design, cooking, and DIY projects combine in a riveting book talk and cooking demonstration at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 18 when husband and wife duo Tim Trojian and Eliza Clark, proprietors of Foxfire Mountain House — a magical inn in the Catskills — share their full-color field guide to innovative neo-vintage design style, Foxfire Living. The couple will detail the inn’s design and renovation process, plus offer design ideas, recipes, projects, and tips for duplicating the aesthetic at home.
Children’s storytime doesn’t get much better than the Llama Llama Pajama Party on Saturday, November 16. Starting at 3 p.m., kids can come to the Downtown Bookstore dressed in their favorite pajamas for a reading of Llama Llama Pajama Party by ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp students. Crafts and raffle prizes are also in store, and attendees are invited to participate in the giving spirit of the season by donating a pair of new pajamas to the area’s Pajama Program.
The Christmas season will be ushered in a little early, thanks to the Downtown Bookstore’s Nutcracker Storytime on November 22 at 4:30 p.m. Presented with the Connecticut Dance School, Nutcracker Storytime brings the magic of the holidays to life with a live dance demonstration, a reading of the beloved children's classic, a simple craft project, raffle prizes, and photo opportunities with the young dancers.
With a full lineup of events all month long, November at the Downtown Bookstore will be the gift that keeps on giving. For more information on all upcoming events, be sure to follow the
