The deadline for waiving/declining ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp student health insurance is Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp requires that all full-time undergraduate students maintain or purchase a health insurance policy.
Under ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp's "hard waiver" program, full-time undergraduate students are automatically enrolled (and billed) each July, in the University-sponsored health insurance policy for the upcoming academic year. A charge for this policy appears on the domestic student's tuition bill. However, if the domestic student has access to comparable or better health insurance through other means (e.g. parents' coverage), and does not wish to be enrolled in the University-sponsored plan, the domestic student must complete an online waiver to provide proof of coverage. Students completing the waiver to decline the University-sponsored plan will receive a full credit on their tuition bill.
The online waiver form may be completed by following these steps:
- Log onto (student NetID and password required)
- Enter "health insurance waiver" in search tool
- Click "Student Health Insurance Waiver" icon
- Complete the form
- Click submit button on the bottom of the screen
On the Bursar page, beginning in early July, students will be able to verify that the waiver has been successful:
- Log onto
- Search "Online Billing and Payment - Student" and select "Launch"
- Select "View Current Activity, Fall 2019"
Domestic Undergraduate Students
Students will see the initial $2,277.00 charge for the student health insurance plan. Students who have submitted the waiver will see a corresponding $2,277.00 credit. (Note: The credit may take up to three business days after the waiver is submitted to appear in the Fall 2019 activity).

International Students
¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp requires all full-time undergraduate and graduate international students to purchase the University sponsored health insurance policy. The University enrolls each international student in its sponsored health insurance policy for the upcoming academic year. A charge for this policy appears on the student's tuition bill. International (VISA holding students) are enrolled on a mandatory basis and cannot waive coverage.
