¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp’s undergraduate nursing program was ranked #11 out of 519 four-year college and university programs nationwide. The Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing was also ranked second of eight colleges in Connecticut.
College Factual’s ranking methodology considers education quality, average earnings of graduates, accreditation, and several other relevant factors. Superior outcomes for students earning nursing degrees at ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp was also considered. Based upon PayScale survey data, a student who graduates from ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp with a degree in nursing will make average early-career earnings of $62,147 and average mid-career earnings of $82,943, surpassing the national averages of all graduates, who make $53,330 in their early career and $70,078 mid-career.

Graduate programs in Fairfield’s Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies were also recently named among the best in the nation according to the 2019 “Best Graduate Schools” ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
- Best Grad Nursing: Master of Nursing #64, Top 3 in the state (vs. #74 last year).
- Best Grad Nursing: Doctor of Nursing Practice #47, second in the state behind Yale (vs. #58 last year).
In addition to the above rankings, ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies is one of only 16 nursing programs nationwide to be named a National League for Nursing (NLN) Center of Excellence in 2018. Selection for this designation is based on a school’s sustained excellence in faculty development, nursing education research, and student learning and professional development. Fairfield’s Egan School was specifically selected for its sustained efforts to “promote the pedagogical expertise of faculty.”
¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp's Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies programs use the latest in medical equipment and small classroom settings to provide a practical and engaging education. The school offers students a strong liberal arts education along with the theory-based knowledge and skills to work in the expanding fields of nursing and healthcare, including new programs in palliative care and midwifery.
