Chuck Todd, moderator of Meet the Press, host of MTP Daily on MSNBC, and political director of NBC News, will deliver Ƭapp’s 2018 Bennett Lecture in Judaic Studies.
The lecture entitled “Politics and Jewish Identity in Today’s America” will take place at the Quick Center for the Arts on Tuesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m.
With a reputation as one of the most passionate and sharpest journalists in American media, Todd will offer a comprehensive picture of the current political landscape. He will interpret the voting patterns of American Jews and discuss the political issues of greatest interest to them. He will also offer his perspective on the Trump administration, through a Jewish lens. A seasoned journalist and TV veteran, Todd's balanced scrutiny of politicians and current events promises his lecture audience an entertaining and edifying experience they won’t soon forget.
Before joining Meet the Press , Todd served as the NBC News chief White House correspondent from 2008-2014, and as the host of MSNC’s The Daily Rundown . In 2007, he was named political director of NBC News where he runs all facets of the NBC News division’s political coverage and analysis. Additionally, he is the editor of First Read , NBC’s guide to political news and trends in and around Washington, D.C.
Todd co-authored the book H ow Barack Obama Won and wrote The Stranger: Barack Obama in the White House , which was released in 2014. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times , The Washington Post , and The Atlantic .
