The Center for Ignatian Spirituality invites members of the Fairfield campus community to Dolan House Room 107 at either 12:30 or 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 4, to learn more about the 10-week program.
“The 10-week Ignatian experience is a life changing process of growth in intimacy with God.”
— Rev. Denis Donoghue, S.J., Associate Director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality
The information sessions will provide an overview of “Encountering the Living God,” a directed prayer experience adapted from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Faculty, staff, and students who seek a deeper relationship with God and wish to develop their prayer lives are encouraged to attend whichever session best fits their schedule next Tuesday.
“The 10-week Ignatian experience is a life changing process of growth in intimacy with God,” said Rev. Denis Donoghue, S.J., associate director of the Center for Ignatian Spirituality. “It enables participants to explore their spiritual lives with a Spiritual Director who serves as a companion on the journey.”
Hundreds of Fairfield campus community members have benefited from the 10-week program in the decade since its inception by Rev. James Bowler, S.J. With the one-on-one weekly guidance of a trained spiritual companion, past participants have discovered new and exciting ways to deepen their relationship with God and have gained a renewed appreciation for the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
If you are open to spiritual growth and you are curious about this adaptation of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, attend one of the information sessions on September 4 to learn more about “Encountering the Living God.”
