Fairfield Parents Work to Enhance the University Through the Parents Leadership Council

¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp invites parents to join the Parents Leadership Council and become ambassadors for the University and the parent community.

As parents, we are all invested in the success of our students... The Parents Leadership Council is an opportunity to maximize that investment."

Fairfield’s parent community continues to be vital to the University’s success. Our institution is rising to new heights — improving facilities, enhancing academic resources, and providing new opportunities — so that students have the best educational experiences possible, and parent support is critical to Fairfield’s continued ascent as the modern Jesuit Catholic University.

The Parents Leadership Council is composed of committed parents who seek to uphold Fairfield’s mission and the quality of student life and learning. These council members work to engage fellow parents, enrich student experiences, and enhance the University. Participation in the Council offers a way for parents to stay engaged with their student’s academic career while supporting excellence at Fairfield. For parents of students who graduated from Fairfield, the Council is a way to continue involvement in the University’s future.

Parents Leadership Council members have the opportunity to participate in a wide-range of Council activities, such as representing the parent community as ambassadors of the University, working closely with the Parents Program Office staff to enhance programming, providing internship and job shadow opportunities to current students, welcoming new University families to the Fairfield community, hosting Summer Student and Parent Welcome receptions, and attending Council events and meetings.

“This Council brings together parents who are committed to seeing the University thrive and supporting it at a leadership level,” explained Joseph and Mary Carlucci P’09,’10,’18, co-chairs of the Parents Leadership Council. “As parents, we are all invested in the success of our students, and the success of ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp which is providing the academic foundation for their future careers. The Parents Leadership Council is an opportunity to maximize that investment.”

To join the Parents Leadership Council, a donation of $5,000 or more, renewed annually, will establish one’s membership; however, gifts of any size to the University will have a great impact on Fairfield’s continued advancement as a premier institution. While most parents designate their support to the Parents Fund, some parents also support areas such as their student’s athletic varsity or club team.

The benefits of Council membership include invitations to special events hosted by University leadership throughout the year, special communications and updates from the Chairs of the Parents Leadership Council and Parents Program Office, direct access to a University Advancement staff member, opportunities to participate in advisory focus groups, networking events with other Parents Leadership Council members, and recognition in the ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp Honor Roll of Donors.

There are many ways for parents to become involved with and support Fairfield. Please visit the Parents Programs webpage for more information about Fairfield’s parent opportunities, including the Parents Leadership Council.
