Stags to Host Athletics Hall of Fame Golf Outing, May 8

The 2017 Fairfield Athletics Hall of Fame Golf Outing is scheduled for Monday, May 8, at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield. Proceeds from the event will benefit renovations to the Academic Center in the Walsh Athletic Center, a headquarters for academic support for all of Fairfield’s 450 varsity student-athletes.

In addition to individual registration for a day of golf and the Hall of Fame dinner, foursome packages and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

JulieAnne Forman Dietz ’02 (women’s soccer), Drew Henderson ’93 (men’s basketball), Cristian Jung ’99 (baseball), C.J. Kemp ’03 (men’s lacrosse), Tim O’Toole ’86 (men’s basketball – Professional Achievement Award) and Kevin Ryan ’97 (ice hockey – posthumous induction) comprise the Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

The vision for the Academic Center renovation is to transform the space into a modern learning community equipped with the technology necessary to support the modern day student-athlete. In addition, the space will prominently showcase the high level of academic achievement Fairfield student-athletes attain each semester. The final product will serve as a cornerstone of the Walsh Athletics Center and a space that all 20 varsity sports will utilize as a distinct recruiting advantage.
