Don't Miss "A Work of the Society," April 26
On St. Patrick’s Day, 1942, with the backdrop of World War II, Rev. John J. McEleney, S.J., and six fellow Jesuits met at St. Robert’s Hall Seminary in Pomfret, Conn. to create the articles of association for a new preparatory high school and college in Fairfield.
The spirit of those original founders continues to animate all that we do and inspires in us the courage to move boldly forward, in the belief that we are fulfilling a profound mission to which we have been called as a learning community.
Join us on Wednesday, April 26 from 4-6 p.m. in the Kelley Center Presentation Room as current members of the Fairfield Jesuit Community reflect on their association with the University in a conversation with Dr. Kurt Schlichting, Professor of Sociology & Anthropology, titled A Work of the Society: Jesuits and Fairfield's Past, Present and Future.
