Senior Week 2016 Kicks Off May 15

Beginning May 15, ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp will host its annual Senior Week. Senior Week is a weeklong program that gives the graduating seniors one last opportunity to come together before Commencement. This year’s Senior Week theme is My Super Sweet Sixteen .

To give the Class of 2016 a great send-off, the Senior Week team has planned eight memorable events that will take place both on and off campus, beginning with a blessing at a special Mass on Sunday, May 15.

On Monday, May 16, students are invited to the Day at the Races Senior Soiree . Students will spend the day at the “race track” with their favorite faculty and staff.

Service Day will take place on Tuesday, May 17 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., where students will spend the afternoon helping local organization, Al’s Angels, sort and wrap over 1,000 toys in early preparation for the holiday season. Each toy will be given to a child battling cancer, rare blood disease or severe financial hardship. At 9 p.m., students will be able to experience the magical views of "New York City’s skyline" in the Oak Room for Stag Night while enjoying the high energy coming from one of New England’s live rock and pop bands, Never in Vegas . There will be live band entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and fire pits.

On Wednesday, May 18 at 7 p.m., the Senior Week team will host the Mardi Gras masquerade themed Commencement Ball . Attire is semi-formal, colorful masks and elegant costumes. There will be a buffet dinner, dancing and live entertainment from DJ Oracle.

Additional Senior Week events include Adventure Park where students can explore 11 trails, 21 zip lines and 161 challenge bridges in the largest forest climbing park in New England, and Senior Picnic Beach Party students can enjoy a relaxing day off-campus with unlimited food, swimming, volleyball, canoeing, rock climbing, mini-gold and pie-eating contens.

The week ends with the Family Dance , where family and friends are invited for unlimited hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live band entertainment in the BCC the day before Commencement.
