Sun. March 4, Patty Griffin, Use Your Voice Tour Comes to Quick
As part of the highly awaited “Use Your Voice” tour, distinguished recording artists Patty Griffin, Sara Watkins and Anaïs Mitchell share the stage in American songwriting and storytelling this Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 7 p.m. The tour features all three artists on stage together for a special “singers-in-the-round” style.
“Each of these artists has made a tremendous impact on the soundscape of the American music we cherish today. It is truly an honor to have these three incredible voices coming together on our stage, both musically and as advocates for democracy in America with the League of Women Voters,” shared Lori Jones, director of Programming and Audience Development for the Quick Center.
Patty Griffin is a Grammy Award- winner songwriter and vocal powerhouse. She has been a member of Band of Joy where they played British and American folk, rock and spiritual music. Sara Watkins has collaborated with John Mayer, The Decemberists and has made guest appearances on NPR’s Prairie Home Companion. Anaïs Mitchell’s style of music can be compared to renowned artists such as: Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Gillian Welch.
