¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp’s Ski and Snowboard team will be competing at the 38 th Annual United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) National Championships in Lake Placid from March 6-12, 2016. The competition will take place at the same location as the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics.
At this year’s competition, over 500 competitors from various colleges and universities across the nation will compete for National collegiate titles in alpine, nordic, and snowboard and freeski events. Competing in next week’s alpine category will be Ryan Carlucci ’18, Brendan Cary ’19, Luke Tinkham ’18, and Matt Duggan ’17. Additionally, Nadia Santoro ’19 will be competing in the freeski event.
“It feels great to be going to Nationals as a freshman with my teammates,” said Brendan Cary, “I’m really excited to be going to Lake Placid and to represent Fairfield, and am looking forward to seeing how we stack up to the rest of the Nation.” Nadia Santoro '19 stated, "I'm absolutely ecstatic about being able to compete at the USCA National Competition. I feel incredibly honored to be given this opportunity and be able to represent ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp at this National event!"
