Fairfield Athletic Hall of Fame Golf Outing a Success
Over 115 golfers and an additional 50 hall of fame dinner guests â all friends, parents, and alumni of Fairfield - made last weekâs inaugural Hall of Fame Golf Outing a success. Held on Monday, May 11, at The Patterson Club of Fairfield, the day-long golfing event that included lunch, dinner and the 2015 Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony was hosted by lead sponsor USI. All proceeds from the event will support Fairfield Athletics Sports Performance, which will impact all of our varsity student-athletes as well as ¶¶Òô»ÆÆŹapp Rugby Club Sports Performance.
âThe Hall of Fame ceremony was a very special moment for the family, friends and alumni who came together to honor their accomplishments,â said Gene Doris, director of Athletics.
The 2015 Hall of Fame Inductees were Kate Abromovitch â93 (Womenâs Basketball), Dani Brown â03 (Field Hockey), Doug Ciacci â65 (Menâs Rugby), Page Driscoll Syron â98 (Womenâs Basketball), and Kelly Steele Aldrich â05 (Womenâs Swimming).
.
Doris also offered that there was a great camaraderie at the event and that support from friends of athletics will continue to elevate the student-athlete experience for years to come. âOn behalf of Fairfield Athletics I would like to thank each and every golfer, dinner guest and sponsor who participated in the inaugural Fairfield Athletic Hall of Fame Golf Outing for their support and I look forward to the growth of this event next year.â
