Athletics Unveils New FairfieldStags.com
Ƭapp Athletics is proud to unveil the new FairfieldStags.com to our alumni, fans, recruits, parents and student-athletes. The new site concludes a six-month process in collaboration with the University Marketing and Communications Office, the Office of Institutional Research and our website provider, NeuLion.
The current design of the website was constructed based on research gathered through our fan base, analyzing user traffic and identifying industry best practices. We received feedback from a wide variety of constituent groups, which was very valuable throughout the design and development process.
“We are excited to introduce the new FairfieldStags.com to our fan base,” said Director of Athletics Gene Doris. “The new features of the website and responsive design will create an improved user experience and display content for all 20 of our varsity sports in the best way possible.”
The new FairfieldStags.com is a fully responsive website which is optimized for any device. As a result, the official mobile app will be discontinued, but please note that the Super Stag app will continue to be used for fans on game day.
The new look and layout is designed to prominently display information that fans consistently seek such as videos, live stats and schedules. A features section for each varsity sport will recognize student-athlete and team successes throughout each season. Also, a storefront has been added to the site to continue the growth of the Fairfield Stags brand.
“Our goal from the beginning was to optimize the user experience and build a platform that serves as a central hub of engaging content for Fairfield Athletics,” remarked Jennifer Anderson, associate vice president for Marketing and Communications. “This project was a true campus collaboration and we look forward to continuing to enhance the Fairfield brand online across all platforms.”
