STAGiving Day a Resounding Success

¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp’s inaugural STAGiving Day on April 21 was a tremendous success. The initial goal of the fundraiser was to raise $100,000 from over 500 donors. The University community came out in full force and, through generous donations, far exceeded the goal.

“Tuesday was a wonderful day for Fairfield. So many alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students helped make our inaugural STAGiving Day a resounding success. There were 1034 donors who stepped up to the challenge and raised $609,472 for our students,” reported Debra Reich, director of the Fairfield Fund & Special Gifts.

The all-day event kicked off in the Barone Campus Center, where there were raffles and refreshments for students, as well as a luncheon for staff. News of the event was shared over a variety of social media platforms with the hashtag #STAGiving. Many generous donations were given over the phone, online and in person.

“The excitement of the day extended well beyond campus and was evident throughout our social channels and alumni networks,” said Jennifer Anderson, associate vice president for Marketing and Communications. “We used a high-touch, multichannel marketing approach to ensure widespread awareness across our key audiences, and worked in strong partnership with our advancement colleagues to drive the results we needed to benefit our students.”

‌Final results were shared in a congratulatory email from Wally Halas, vice president for University Advancement:
