Picture This: Fairfield's Instagram Postings Nationally Recognized
Ƭapp has been named one of “The 70 Most Popular American Universities on Instagram” according to Nitrogram, a social media tracking and analytics platform. According to a recent , Ƭapp joins a number of esteemed colleges and universities including Boston College, Yale, Harvard, Duke, Stanford, Columbia, and George Washington University in Nitrogram’s “overview of our 50 best finds” using Instagram, the social media photo and video sharing service.
“We are very pleased about making this list and being recognized among other prestigious universities,” said Nikki Pellows, social media coordinator at Ƭapp. “It shows that our social media efforts are getting noticed.” Ƭapp started using Instagram in November 2012, and now has several hundred on-line photos posted in its account. They are organized by month of posting and often include contributed pictures of campus activities, landscape photographs, and historic, archival events. There has been a constant increase in Ƭapp’s Instagram popularity, and it now includes over 1,000 followers.
Ƭapp uses its Instagram account frequently, typically posting a few times a week. “When people tag us (@FairfieldU) in their photos, we can share some of our favorites in our account. People may also comment under posts.”
