Swimming and Diving at ECAC Championship
The ¶¶Òô»ÆƬapp men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrapped up action at the 2013 ECAC Open Championships last Saturday at Lehman College's APEX Center. The men's team placed sixth overall while the women's team finished in fifth place.
In the women's 400y medley relay, Fairfield placed fifth with a time of 4:05.00. The Stags also placed fifth overall in the women's 400y freestyle relay with a time of 3:40.70.
In the 500y freestyle,
placed sixth overall with a time of 5:11.69.
placed 12th overall in the 50y freestyle with a time of 25.20 seconds.
finished the event with a personal best time of 25.60 seconds while
also clocked a personal best time of 25.85 seconds.
Fairfield took the fifth and sixth slots in the 200y IM. Senior
clocked in fifth with a time of 2:11.55 while
followed closely behind with a time of 2:11.56.
For the men, Fairfield placed fourth overall in the 400y freestyle relay with a time of 3:15.99. The Stags also placed 10th in the 400y medley relay with a time of 4:10.98.
In the men's 500y freestyle,
placed 12th overall with a time of 4:53.02. Parker also clocked in 15th overall in the 200y IM with a personal best time of 2:01.40.
Rookie
tied for 15th overall in the 50y freestyle with a personal best time of 22.26 seconds.
finished the event with a personal best time of 22.69 seconds while
also clocked a personal best time of 23.09 seconds.
Fairfield has concluded the first half of its schedule. The Stags will head to Hawaii for their annual winter training trip, January 3-13. The Stags resume dual meet action on January 25 at NJIT before returning home to face MAAC foe Iona on February 1.
