#SoccerGrlProbs—Fairfield Students Create International Soccer Sensation
The secret is out and the fans are going wild. The soccer players behind the wildly popular #SoccerGrlProbs brand have finally revealed their identities to the world--and they are ¶¶Ňô»ĆƬapp students!
Two years ago Alanna Locast '12, Shannon Fay '13 and Carly Beyar '13 were “Just a couple of crazy soccer girls with endless complaints” tweeting about the ups and downs of being varsity women soccer players. But before long they were much, much more. These three motivated students took one funny tweet and turned it into an international brand that soccer players are flocking to.
Now, with nearly 200,000 Twitter followers, a YouTube channel, and an apparel line, they offer fans a unique blend of humor and enthusiasm in their videos and tweets about life on and off the soccer field. Soccer players around the world follow their videos, retweet their tweets, and buy their clothes. According to SportzEdge.com, they are "rockstars in the soccer community". See how they got where they did and what they plan to do next.
